両親から受け継いだ才能と自由な発想で、 コンテンポラリーなジュエリーを発表。

あの若さで完成度の高い作品を発表できるのは、すばらしい才能があればこそ。多くの重責の中で、「20世紀最後の巨匠」と言われた父親の作品のキュレーターであることも彼女の作品に影響を与えた一因と言えるでしょう。
フランス人画家バルテュスと日本人アーティスト、節子クロソフスカ＝ド＝ローラ伯爵夫人の娘、ハルミ・クロソフスカ＝ド＝ローラ。彼女の自由な発想から生まれるユニークなジュエリーピースには、芸術作品らしいスタイルがにじみ出ています。
「私は自由に自分のルールに従っているだけ。講義による勉強ではなく、実践によって学んできた」と語ります。その実践とはジョン・ガリアーノやジャンバティスタ・ヴァリのメゾンでの仕事、スワロフスキー、そしてごく最近のヴァレンティノとのコラボレーションと輝かしいものばかり。2～3年前にはヴァンドーム広場の高級宝石店、ブシュロンやショパールで個性的なジュエリー作品を発表しています。
彼女の作品は、現代の*エアルームジュエリーとして改めて認知されており、LAのクリスティーズ、 NY、 パリ、ヴェニス、東京など世界各地で展示、さらにロンドンとNYのドーヴァーストリート・マーケット、チューリッヒにあるトロワ・ポムといった高級ブランドのセレクトショップで販売されています。

It takes great talent to be able to showcase creative maturity at a young age. But of course it helps when amongst many responsibilities, one of them is to be curator for your iconic father’s work. Meet Harumi Klossowska de Rola, daughter of French painter Balthus and of Japanese artist, countess Setsuko. The free-spirited prodigy creates unique fine jewelry pieces that blur the line with Objets d’Art. ‘I freely follow my own rules’, she says. ‘I can say that I did not “study” anything in the more traditional sense of the word; I have learned from experience.’ And what a line up of experiences! Harumi has worked with the likes of John Galliano and Giambattista Valli; she has also collaborated with Swarovski and more recently with Valentino. Besides for the past few years, Harumi has created exceptional pieces for some prestigious Place Vendôme houses, such as Boucheron and Chopard. Her creations redefine what contemporary heirlooms can be: both intimate and artful, and they have been exhibited around the world (Christie’s in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Venice and Tokyo). Meanwhile they are sold at Dover Street Market London and New York, as well as at Trois Pommes in Zurich.
